“Maturation” call for entries Wind, Water and Light Gallery announces a call to local artists for a three-part series of shows held in March, April and May of 2008. Pieces must adhere to the theme of maturation and development. The first part is a show focusing on the inner-child. 2D and 3D art are welcome, particularly work in illustration and children’s books. Part II is centered on the transition from childhood to adulthood. Works from local high schools, universities and elderly homes are encouraged. Part III is a reflection of the growth of Champaign-Urbana. Work with historical societies and architectural drawings are welcome. "Agrarian-Urban Conflict” call for entries Wind, Water and Light Gallery announces a call to artists for a show held in September 2008. 2D and 3D works of any medium that are related to the theme of urbanization and modernization and/or the tension this creates with agrarian lifestyles. Works can also be reflected on either agrarianism or urbanization independently of one another. Representational and/or abstract statements are welcome.
